About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the Park Ranger program for the City of Buckeye. The Park Ranger Coordinator will ensure the effective operation of the program, including scheduling, training, and management of park ranger staff. This role involves direct interaction with park visitors, providing information, enforcing park rules, and assisting with various park activities and events. The coordinator will also be involved in developing and implementing park safety and educational programs, and maintaining records related to park usage and ranger activities. Additionally, the position may involve collaborating with other city departments and external agencies to support park maintenance and conservation efforts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in park operations or a related field.
Knowledge of park rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage and lead a team.
Proficiency in record-keeping and basic computer applications.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experience in a supervisory role.
Certification as a Park Ranger or in a related field.
First Aid and CPR certification.
