Park Maintenance Worker (Semi Skilled Laborer) (Seasonal) - Laurel Caverns State Park
About The Position
As a Park Maintenance Worker with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Laurel Cavern State Park, you will help maintain clean, safe, and enjoyable spaces across the park. This role offers steady hands-on experience in construction, groundskeeping, and facility upkeep. You will work with equipment, assist visitors, and support the daily operations of the park. This position is perfect for individuals who like problem solving and working outdoors. This position supports maintenance, construction, and daily care of park facilities and natural areas at Laurel Cavern State Park.
Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
Responsibilities
- Perform Maintenance Work: Carry out tasks using tools and equipment for building and grounds upkeep
- Care For Facilities: Clean buildings, restrooms, and park areas to maintain safe conditions
- Operate Equipment: Use mowers, UTVs, chainsaws, and other tools for various park duties
- Support Construction Tasks: Assist with repairs, carpentry work, painting, and basic building projects
- Maintain Trails And Roads: Clear debris, repair small structures, and clean drains and culverts
