About The Position
The Park Maintenance Worker position with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Park Region 2 offers a chance to support daily park operations in a meaningful way. Requirements
- Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
- Submission of criminal history reports will be required for a conditional offer of employment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Park Grounds: Carry out tasks such as mowing, clearing brush and picking up litter
- Operate Equipment: Use dump trucks, small tractors, and other vehicles to complete park maintenance tasks
- Perform Custodial Work: Clean buildings, restrooms, and trash areas to support visitor needs
- Assist With Repairs: Help fix and improve buildings and facilities using basic trade tools
- Support Resource Work: Participate in habitat tasks such as managing invasive plants and assisting with fire applications
