Within this role, you will perform semi-skilled tasks to support construction, maintenance, and repair work across the hospital campus. This role involves hands-on labor, safe equipment use, and teamwork with other skilled workers.

Requirements

One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction
An equivalent combination of experience and training
Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent
Meet the PA residency requirement
Able to perform essential job functions
Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance (required after conditional offer)

Responsibilities

Cut grass, trim shrubs, rake debris, and maintain outdoor areas using various hand and power tools
Load and unload trucks, move furniture or equipment, and transport materials
Make basic repairs to buildings and facilities using tools from several trades
Assist skilled workers with tasks such as demolition, mixing cement, and setting up scaffolds
Clear snow from walkways and work areas during winter conditions
Prepare surfaces and apply paint to walls, ceilings, and woodwork
