About The Position

Become a Park Maintenance Worker with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and help support park projects that make a difference. You will take part in a wide range of activities that keep the park operating smoothly. This role provides hands-on experience using tools and equipment that assist in maintaining park facilities. Requirements

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Dig holes and ditches and load materials using hand tools
  • Mow and trim grass with various types of mowing equipment
  • Clean buildings and remove snow from walkways and roads
  • Make repairs to structures and facilities using common trade tools
  • Operate and maintain tractors, pumps, compressors, and similar equipment
  • Assist skilled workers and help with cement work and stone or block wall construction
