The Park Maintenance Worker position with the Department of Conservation & Natural Resources offers a chance to work outdoors while helping care for beautiful public spaces. Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Be able to perform essential job functions
Responsibilities
- Complete routine maintenance tasks and assist skilled staff with more advanced repair work
- Clean buildings, perform basic adjustments, and maintain equipment and natural resources
- Paint surfaces, repair roofs and windows, and use hand and power tools for needed upkeep
- Replace bulbs and switches and support minor electrical maintenance activities
- Mix cement, build forms, and assist with masonry and chinking tasks
- Help with carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and upkeep of signs and park structures
