Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 - Memorial Lake State Park Complex
About The Position
The Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 leads maintenance operations for the Memorial Lake State Park Complex, helping ensure that facilities, systems, and grounds remain safe and well cared for. The role involves supervising staff, planning work, managing resources, and supporting smooth park operations. Duties include organizing schedules and assignments, coordinating construction and maintenance projects, training and evaluating employees, promoting workplace safety, overseeing equipment use and upkeep, and supporting maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems. This is a full-time, on-site position. The work schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch, five days and 37.5 hours per week. Scheduled days and shifts vary and include holidays and weekends. Telework is not available.
Requirements
- Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience in two of the following areas: electrical trades, plumbing trades, carpentry trades, mechanical trades, water or wastewater treatment plant operations, or operation of small- and medium-sized construction or agricultural equipment; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Organize work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure effective use of staff and equipment.
- Prepare for construction and maintenance projects by managing materials and reviewing plans.
- Train employees, complete evaluations, and maintain accurate personnel documentation.
- Provide safety training, maintain protective equipment, and promptly address hazards.
- Guide the proper use and upkeep of vehicles, tools, and construction equipment.
- Support maintenance of buildings, grounds, and park utility systems to meet operational needs.
