About The Position

As a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will help manage the daily care of the Colonel Denning State Park Complex. This role allows you to use hands-on skills while directing a team that maintains buildings, equipment and outdoor spaces. You will contribute to safe and welcoming conditions that help families and visitors enjoy the park. This position is a strong opportunity to build a career rooted in public service and stewardship. This position oversees the maintenance crew and guides the care of facilities, equipment, and grounds throughout the Colonel Denning State Park Complex. It supports daily operations that help visitors have a safe and positive experience.

Requirements

• Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience in two of the following: electrical trades, plumbing trades carpentry trades, mechanical trades, water or wastewater treatment plant operations, or the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Crew: Supervise assigned staff and direct construction, repair, and upkeep of park facilities
• Support Safety Programs: Review procedures, hold safety meetings, and promote safe work practices across all tasks
• Coordinate Preventative Work: Plan seasonal projects and oversee routine maintenance for buildings, roads and trails
• Manage Supplies Inventory: Track tools, equipment and materials and replenish items as operational needs require
• Maintain Park Systems: Assist with upkeep of water and wastewater systems and report issues to the Park Manager
• Oversee Equipment Care: Operate, repair and monitor vehicles and equipment while ensuring vendor work meets standards
