Paratransit Driver

About The Position

As a Paratransit Driver, you will transport patients and passengers to non-emergency medical care and provide other needed transportation services. You will report to the EMS Transportation Manager. This is a full-time position in Idabel, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid driver's license.
Current CPR and First Aid certification, or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Current Defensive Driving Certificate, or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Ability to operate a smartphone and GPS.
Experience driving vehicles with both automatic and standard transmissions.

Responsibilities

Transport passengers to appropriate locations and appointments with a flexible schedule.
Coordinate with the dispatcher using relevant data and instructions to ensure passengers arrive at the appropriate location at the appropriate time.
Maintain destination and passenger-behavior logs, driver logs and checklists according to GSA and CNHSA guidelines, and the vehicle logbook, including scheduled maintenance as needed.
Monitor and ensure vehicle cleanliness and take the vehicle for repairs.
Enforce passenger safety and security by following CNHSA transit safety standards and policies, Federal Transit Administration regulations, and other regulatory guidelines.
Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using stabilization devices.
Assist passengers with physical disabilities in and out of the vehicle and provide door-to-door service.
Collect medications, supplies, equipment, and other items as directed by the supervisor.
Use technology equipment and software programs provided by CNHSA.
Attend and earn safety training certifications through Choctaw Nation, the Federal Transit Administration, and any additional required regulatory training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
