About The Position

We are seeking a Part-Time Dispatcher & Scheduler to work out of our Yorkville office, Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM. At Voluntary Action Center, we support seniors and individuals with disabilities in staying connected to essential services and their community. In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping our transportation services running smoothly, helping coordinate rides that make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks
• Comfortable using computers and phone systems
• Positive, team-oriented attitude

Nice To Haves

• Two years of related experience preferred
• Dispatching or transportation experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Schedule and update daily transportation routes
• Answer calls and assist clients and drivers
• Share delays, changes, and updates
• Use scheduling and mapping software
• Help ensure safe, reliable, on-time service
• Check vehicles due for maintenance and prepare service lists
• Review and confirm rides at the end of the day
