About The Position

Paraprofessional – Student Support (Behavior & Life Skills) Pay: $19–$22/hour Schedule: Full-time & Part-time available Location: Columbus, OH Launch Your Career in Education, Psychology, and Behavioral Support At Ability Matters, our paraprofessionals do more than classroom support. We partner with schools and families to create inclusive, personalized, and community-based learning experiences for students with autism and other neurological disabilities. You are directly helping students build life skills, confidence, and independence that carries far beyond school walls.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• 2-year degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Passion for Inclusion: A genuine desire to support students with disabilities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Experience: Helpful but not required. Heart, attitude, and willingness to learn matter most.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students
• Help build behavioral, social, and life skills
• Support students in classroom and real-world settings
• Collaborate with teachers and support teams
• Encourage confidence, independence, and growth
