About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Paraprofessional for a school setting in Covington, GA. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in student success by supporting instruction, reinforcing IEP goals, and helping create a safe, structured environment that promotes academic progress and positive student development. Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or two years (60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours) of college OR HS diploma/GED with successful completion of the Georgia Paraprofessional Certification Test.
- Valid Paraprofessional Certificate
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to students with disabilities in special education and general education settings under the direction of the teacher.
- Assist in maintaining a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment through effective supervision and classroom management.
- Support data collection, documentation, and routine record-keeping as directed by instructional staff.
- Prepare instructional materials, visual aids, and classroom resources to support lesson implementation.
- Perform clerical and organizational tasks, including maintaining classroom supplies and inventory.
- Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, reliability, and appropriate workplace appearance.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student and school information in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and required professional development.
- Adhere to all district, state, and federal guidelines while supporting a safe and compliant learning environment.
