Part Time Paraprofessional - Title I

About The Position

Paraprofessional will work in grades 1-5 supporting the classroom teacher and one-on-one tutoring for Title 1 identified students across all four curricular content areas. This is a part-time position, up to 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday when instruction is in session. The starting wage is $16/hour, based on the current Midland Federation of Paraprofessionals Master Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with early literacy instruction
• Completed at least two years of college coursework with 60+ credits -or- Hold an Associate's Degree or higher -or- ParaPro Assessment - Qualifying score of 460+
• Proven organization and time management skills
• Dependable Attendance
• Ability to explain curriculum expectations following directive from teacher
• Ability to work professionally with staff, students, parents and other providers
• Basic understanding of technology
• Able to sit, stand, bend, and walk frequently
• Some lifting may be required

Nice To Haves

• Attend trainings during the school year
• CPR/First Aid certified (preferred; willing to be provided training)
• Experience and/or knowledge of behavioral management techniques
