Responsibilities

Codes, classifies, catalogues, receives, checks out, and shelves library materials
Converts written material to computerized library system
Monitors circulation of library materials and delivers and retrieves library materials
Performs library material inventory, and reconciles discrepancies
Explains basic use of library facilities, resources, equipment, and services and provides library resource location, data search, and service assistance to students and teachers
Assists individuals and small student groups locate library resources and materials
Monitors students at assigned site and reinforces positive student behaviors, enforcing administration policies and rules governing students
Discusses and coordinates instructional efforts with teachers and library staff
Coordinates the classification, indexing, shelving and circulation of books, periodicals, audio-visual and multi-media information
