The Collection Management division is responsible for purchasing and maintaining the Library District’s collection, which includes books, movies, music CDs, audiobooks, and video games. The Library Paraprofessional in this division handles various data-centric tasks such as electronic record maintenance, collection reports and statistics, and material acquisition research and support. Additionally, the role involves material-centric tasks like receiving and processing books, printing labels, and managing supplies. While the work is primarily behind the scenes, there are occasional visits to branches to assist with collection-related projects and training.
