About The Position

Supports library staff by performing general library tasks and providing routine assistance. Responsible for collection development and participation in budgeting activities.

Responsibilities

• Codes, classifies, catalogues, receives, checks out, and shelves library materials
• Converts written material to computerized library system
• Monitors circulation of library materials and delivers and retrieves library materials
• Performs library material inventory, and reconciles discrepancies
• Explains basic use of library facilities, resources, equipment, and services and provides library resource location, data search, and service assistance to students and teachers
• Assists individuals and small student groups locate library resources and materials
• Monitors students at assigned site and reinforces positive student behaviors, enforcing administration policies and rules governing students
• Discusses and coordinates instructional efforts with teachers and library staff
• Coordinates the classification, indexing, shelving and circulation of books, periodicals, audio-visual and multi-media information

• Salary Range: New hires will be set at $21.787 per hour. The salary range for internal candidates is $21.787 to $26.123 per hour. Salaries for the 2026–2027 school year are typically finalized and released mid-summer, with an effective date of August 1. If any updates or adjustments are made once the new salary schedule is finalized, all impacted individuals will receive the updated salary.
