Requirements
- If you are NOT currently or never have been a Paraprofessional for VUSD, you must include proof of one of the following: Two years of college (48 units), A. A. degree (or higher), or Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
- You will also need to provide proof of passing the district Translator test.
- Certification (Transcripts, Degree or Para Certificate)
- Test Results/Materials (Translator Exam)
- Tuberculosis Clearance
- Strength and Agility Test
- Criminal Background Clearance

Responsibilities
- Providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibility for assisting students whose primary language is not English across the general population
- Administering tests
- Serving as a resource to other school personnel requiring assistance with non-English speaking persons
