Requirements
- Completion of 48 units of college or university or above OR Passing score on the District Paraprofessional Exam
- Criminal Background Clearance
- Must be able to pass Strength & Agility test
- Tuberculosis Clearance
Nice To Haves
- Proof of passing score on exam (if not currently or never have been a Paraprofessional for VUSD)
Responsibilities
- Providing support to the special education program within assigned classroom
- Assisting in the instruction of individual or small groups of students in a variety of subject areas
- Providing individualized learning experiences to encourage academic excellence
- Assisting in the implementation of a behavior modification program
- Monitoring and reporting student behavior and performance
- Providing information to appropriate school personnel
- Performing a variety of clerical duties as assigned
