About The Position

Provides advanced life support care to the sick and injured and safely transports customers of all ages to a medical facility. In addition, the paramedic assists with other services and events as directed by North Memorial Ambulance Service.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed paramedic training program from an accredited institution required.
  • Current Minnesota or Wisconsin Paramedic Certification or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date.
  • American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or Amercian Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days.
  • Valid State Class D driver's license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS Certification.
  • ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700 or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date.
  • Current Minnesota Paramedic Certification or obtain within 60 days of hire date. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • Current Wisconsin Paramedic Certification or obtain within 6 months of hire date. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • National Registered Paramedic. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or American Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C) within 12 months from date of hire. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • American Heart Association and American Red Cross PALS Certification upon hire or within 14 days. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700 or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or obtain within 6 months of hire date. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • Maximum weight of 215 pounds in uniform. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • Valid State Class D driver's license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record. (For Air Care Paramedic)
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, problem solve, make decisions during emergency situations and work independently.
  • Possess or quickly acquire knowledge of the street and highway system within the service area.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate of Science degree preferred.
  • Previous ambulance experience preferred.
  • Previous advanced life support experience preferred.
  • For Air Care Paramedics, three (3) years of ALS experience as a Paramedic required.
  • For Air Care Paramedics, prior flight experience preferred.
