As a Paramedic, you will respond to emergency calls, assess patients’ needs, and provide lifesaving medical treatment within your scope of practice. You’ll work alongside nurses, physicians, and other clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care. Requirements

  • Paramedic Technical Certification or associate degree – Required
  • Current State of Arkansas Paramedic Licensure – Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – must be obtained within the first week of orientation
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within 6 months of employment
  • Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in emergency services or acute care – Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to calls for emergency medical services and assess the nature and extent of illness or injury.
  • Administer emergency medical care, including stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, as appropriate.
  • Administer medications and perform procedures within scope of practice.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and medical personnel.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow care directives from supervising providers.
  • Support unit readiness by keeping patient rooms and work areas clean, stocked, and orderly.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and department projects as assigned.
