About The Position
Mercy Hospital Springfield is offering the "Win From Within" Paramedic program for the Spring 2027 cohort. This program is designed to provide students with opportunities to grow professionally, receive financial assistance, and experience a smoother transition into practice post-graduation. To qualify, you may be enrolled in healthcare prerequisites or the Paramedic program itself. Previous transcripts and one letter of recommendation are required for consideration. This program is offered at Mercy Springfield. Applicants will be contacted by Recruitment with additional information upon applying. A commitment to work at least 16 hours per pay period is required, with employment positions varying by program needs. A contract will be signed, requiring a commitment to remain at a Mercy facility for 1-3 years post-graduation.

Responsibilities
- Participates in clinical work under the direction of an RN.
- Assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient’s highest level of wellness.
- Works cooperatively with others as part of the healthcare team.
- Performs designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks within the nurse extern scope.
