About The Position
Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. contracts with local municipalities to provide Emergency Medical Services, Rescue and/or Fire Services. The company attributes much of its success to the exceptional, compassionate customer service provided by its employees. The company is seeking a part-time Paramedic for its North Boone Fire District #3 contract. The Paramedic/Firefighter provides medical care and patient transportation at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within the scope of practice stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.
Requirements
- Paramedic license.
- CPR certification.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid Illinois driver's license.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience is preferred.
- Basic Operations Firefighter certification is preferred upon hire; employees hired without this credential may be requested to obtain it.
- ACLS; Metro will provide training.
- PALS; Metro will provide training.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to patients at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within the applicable scope of practice.
- Transport patients.
