About The Position

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. contracts with local municipalities to provide Emergency Medical Services, rescue, and/or fire services. The company is seeking a part-time EMT/Firefighter for its North Boone Fire District #3 contract. The role provides medical care and patient transportation at the EMT-B level, within the employee’s scope of practice and as stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.

Requirements

• EMT license.
• CPR certification.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter certification.
• One year of experience.
• ACLS certification; Metro will provide training.
• PALS certification; Metro will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients at the EMT-B level, within the applicable scope of practice.
• Transport patients.
