About The Position

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. contracts with local municipalities to provide emergency medical services, rescue, and/or fire services. The Paramedic/Firefighter provides medical care and patient transportation at the EMT-P level, within the employee’s scope of practice as stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois. Starting pay is listed as $78,740.48, and the wage is also listed as USD $23.66 per hour.

Requirements

• Paramedic license.
• Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter certification.
• One year of experience.
• CPR certification.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities
