About The Position

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Services, Inc., contracts with local municipalities to provide emergency medical services, rescue, and/or fire services. The company is seeking full-time Paramedic/Firefighters for its Crete Township contract.

The Paramedic/Firefighter provides medical care and patient transportation at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within the scope of practice stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois. Starting base annual pay is $78,840.32; the posting also lists a wage of $23.69 per hour.

Requirements

• Hold a Paramedic License.
• Hold Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification.
• Be CPR certified.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid Illinois Driver's License.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level within the applicable scope of practice.
• Transport patients.
