About The Position

This position is for a Full-Time Paramedic working Day shifts at Texas Health Rockwall. The role involves responding to emergency medical needs, performing technical skills, and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide safe and effective patient care. The hospital is a 105-bed acute-care facility serving the communities of Rockwall, Kaufman, Hunt, and surrounding counties, and is recognized for its commitment to patient safety and clinical outcomes.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required
EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required upon hire or LP - Licensed Paramedic required upon hire
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced environment
Positive interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to perform basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience in EMS or fire department preferred
