About The Position

Paramedic - Emergency Full-Time Nights Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032 Work hours: Full-Time, Nights, 36 hours weekly, (3) 12-hour shifts, 7:00pm-7:00am, including weekends Emergency Department Highlights: Engaged leadership that actively works to assist staff. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required
  • EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required upon hire or
  • LP - Licensed Paramedic required upon hire or
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly and
  • Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced environment, positive interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, able to perform basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience paramedic experience in EMS or fire department preferred
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire and
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire and
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually

  • Communicates and collaborates with all members of the health care team; incorporates and participates in adopted communication tools; promotes a cost-effective team by judicious use of resources; leads by example by giving priority to doing the right thing for patient care; adapts to changes in workload; demonstrates flexibility related to patient needs, staffing and patient acuity; demonstrates the ability to respectfully listen to others' opinions; collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe individualized care.
