About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time or part-time Paramedics to provide compassionate, high-quality basic and advanced patient care. The role includes responding to 911 calls, assessing situations, providing medical care, and working with patients, loved ones, teammates, and other health and public safety personnel. Hourly rates start at $25.00, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications and NREMT-Paramedic.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills and medical equipment and procedures, including a defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids, to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and their loved ones, providing information and reassurance about the care being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
