OVERVIEW OF POSITION The Workers' Compensation Paralegal, a member of the Workers' Compensation team, is a key position responsible for providing administrative and legal support to the Firm’s Workers' Compensation attorneys. The Workers' Compensation Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: organizing and analyzing documents and case work, drafting pleadings and other court documents, filing court documents, scheduling events, actively contributing in all phases of the workers' compensation discovery process and preparing exhibits and documents for court hearings, depositions, and trials. The Paralegal must be extremely organized and detail oriented, and able to multi-task in order to effectively work in the Firm’s high-speed, deadline driven environment. REPORTING STRUCTURE The Workers' Compensation Paralegal works closely with the Workers' Compensation team and supervising attorneys. However, an individual in this position will report directly to the Operations Manager of the Firm. HOURS AND STATUS The Workers' Compensation Paralegal position is a full-time position generally working approximately forty (40) hours per week. However, some additional hours may be needed to meet Firm operational needs.
