About The Position

Cytiva is seeking a Paralegal - North America to support its Global NDA Program. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and advising on non-disclosure agreements for North America requestors. Additionally, the position supports critical global legal workflows such as Material Transfer Agreements, business enablement training and communications, onboarding programs, templates, standard work, and other resources to facilitate business operations across Cytiva and its operating companies. The Paralegal reports to the Associate General Counsel, Operations & Enablement and is part of the Cytiva Legal & Compliance Team, working on-site in Marlborough, MA. This role collaborates closely with the Lead Paralegal and Paralegal – EMEA, both based in the UK.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in a large law firm, corporate legal department, or in-house legal team, including experience independently reviewing standardized, scalable contracts.
  • Experience working with common contract templates, including NDAs and MTAs.
  • Proficiency with legal research databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital case lifecycle workflows.
  • Experience supporting legal administrative operations such as service of process intake, legal holds administration, or shared inbox monitoring.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or certification in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or paralegal certification from an accredited program completed or in progress.
  • Experience in the life sciences industry or another regulated industry.
  • Experience using AI, automation, or workflow tools to streamline legal processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support Cytiva’s North America NDA program by independently drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on NDAs while escalating complex or high-risk matters as needed.
  • Support standardized contract processes, including MTAs and other common agreements, while providing legal support for OpCo projects and transactions.
  • Maintain and enhance legal policies, templates, standard terms, fallback positions, user guides, and operational resources to ensure effective and scalable support.
  • Develop and deliver training, communications, onboarding materials, and business enablement resources for Legal & Compliance, business functions, and associates across Cytiva and its OpCos.
  • Provide legal operations support, including corporate governance, legal holds, service of process coordination, shared inbox management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficient and compliant ways of working.
