About The Position

The Litigation Paralegal at Witherite Law Group will be responsible for managing a caseload of 50-75 cases, providing essential support to attorneys by drafting demand letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. This role requires meticulous auditing of cases, including medical bills, case expenses, and subrogation liens, and ensuring accurate data management within the Filevine system. Additionally, the paralegal will assist in trial preparation, maintain consistent communication with clients and external parties, and uphold professional standards of appearance and conduct.

Requirements

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person and email.
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking abilities.
  • College degree or comparable paralegal certification and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management software.
  • Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle collisions.
  • Proficient in preparing discovery responses.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on grammar and language arts.
  • Professional appearance and behavior.
  • Working knowledge of common deadlines and protocols of personal injury litigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with trucking litigation.
  • 5+ years' experience in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm.
  • Filevine case management software experience.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage a case load of 50-75 cases.
  • Accurately draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery and various motions.
  • Continually communicate with clients, counsel, experts, and courts.
  • Audit cases for all expenses (medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, subrogation liens).
  • Accurately maintain case management data in Filevine (case management database).
  • Prepare trial documents and assist with trial preparation.
