About The Position

RADAR is seeking an experienced paralegal to join its growing legal team. This role is critical for scaling the legal function and involves a blend of legal operations, system architecture, and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will have a few years of rigorous law firm experience, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong interest in leveraging technology, particularly AI, to optimize legal processes. This position offers the opportunity to build and shape a world-class legal function from the ground up in a fast-paced tech environment.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of paralegal, legal operations, or similar legal support experience, ideally in a law firm, large tech company, or other fast-paced in-house environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or managing document management systems.
  • Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for professional work and ability to think creatively about AI applications.
  • Experience with legal tech platforms and legal AI tools for contract review, legal research, or document automation.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating NDAs.
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting legal departments through scaling phases.
  • Background in commercial contracts, particularly in B2B SaaS or hardware/software technology companies.
  • Exposure to IP matters (patents, trademarks, licensing).

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of document management (Box) and entity management systems, treating organization as a competitive advantage.
  • Build the legal tech stack by experimenting with LLMs, automation platforms, and legal tech to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Design and implement playbooks, templates, and SOPs to support scaling operations.
  • Handle high-volume agreements such as NDAs and vendor contracts, and manage outside counsel billing.
  • Assist with corporate housekeeping, including governance, board preparation, and IP filings.
