About The Position
Carr Allison is hiring a Paralegal for its Birmingham, Alabama location. The firm is a civil litigation practice with more than 150 attorneys across the Southeast and describes its culture as collaborative, supportive, and focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Paralegal will support attorneys and litigation teams through case preparation and management, legal drafting, court filings, and the organization and summarization of case records.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a litigation team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
- High motivation.
- Experience with the listed litigation support tasks, including trial, hearing, and deposition preparation; legal drafting; case analysis; state and federal e-filing; record and deposition summaries; and case management.
Nice To Haves
- Three or more years of experience in insurance defense litigation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Draft legal documents, including subpoenas and pleadings.
- Assist with case analysis and meet applicable deadlines.
- E-file documents with state and federal courts.
- Summarize medical and billing records.
- Summarize depositions.
- Manage cases from inception to completion.
