About The Position

The DeAngelus Group, PLLC is a well-established, mid-size law firm with locations in Clifton Park, Schenectady and Saratoga, NY with additional offices in Florida. Our primary practice groups offer legal services in real estate transactions; estate planning and administration; business formation. Our firm is known for its compassionate and personal approach, helping families and individuals through difficult situations with confidence. We are seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to support our office assisting clients with real estate transactions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, organized and experienced with New York real estate procedures. The posted pay scale is estimated. The salary is dependent on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Real Estate Paralegal in New York is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple active files.
  • Professional and clear communication skills—written and verbal.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with TRID guidelines, escrow procedures, and post-closing workflows.
  • Prior work with lenders, title agents, or real estate law firms in New York.
  • Familiar with Qualia

Responsibilities

  • Assist an assigned attorney in all phases of residential real estate transactions for buyers and sellers.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and other law offices.
  • Draft, review, and prepare transaction documents, including contract packages, addendums, riders, closing documents, and correspondence.
  • Track contingency dates, maintain organized files, and ensure that all deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with title companies for searches, clearing title issues, and preparing files for closing.
  • Guide clients through the process, providing updates and ensuring they understand each stage of their transaction.
  • Manage scheduling of closings, file follow-up, and post-closing documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance with firm procedures.
