About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal I to support federal litigation at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will work closely with Assistant U.S. Attorneys and federal agencies to assist in managing civil cases filed against the federal government. This position is fully onsite and offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to high-impact federal legal work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of litigation support experience (including appellate support or similar experience)
  • Experience applying legal research techniques to analyze legal issues and prepare documentation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (NACI/PII) security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Strong aptitude for learning and using new software quickly
  • Working knowledge of FOIA and Privacy Act (PA) litigation processes

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and similar tools
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Review, organize, and manage large volumes of emails, records, and litigation documents
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and case tracking systems
  • Gather factual information from agency, court, and public records
  • Analyze and summarize legal materials including pleadings, court orders, and transcripts
  • Draft memoranda and legal support documentation
  • Coordinate with federal agencies to obtain and organize case materials and ensure compliance with court directives
  • Conduct factual and legal research in support of litigation
  • Provide litigation support for briefs, hearings, and presentations
  • Prepare exhibits, charts, and visual materials using litigation support tools
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management and document production
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
