About The Position

As our Paralegal Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our legal team. You will work one on one helping assistants learn how to be the best paralegal. You will develop and implement comprehensive training materials, and identify areas for improvement to ensure both new and existing team members excel. This position is ideal for someone who is a natural leader, skilled communicator, and passionate about helping others succeed in a fast-paced legal environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; BA in teaching or related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education preferred.
  • Experience in injury law in pre-litigation and litigation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Filevine, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to create engaging, interactive, and effective training experiences.
  • 5-10 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation and pre-litigation paralegal experience.
  • Proven experience in developing training materials, certifications, and curricula.
  • Demonstrated success in training delivery and assessing training effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding Excellence:
  • Provide a welcoming and thorough onboarding experience.
  • Ensure new hires understand KPIs, software systems, workflows, and role expectations.
  • Assess and document new hires’ skills, mindset, and culture fit, sharing insights with leadership.
  • Ongoing Training and Development:
  • Create and deliver engaging training programs.
  • Develop branded training resources, certification programs, and curricula.
  • Ensure all training materials are up to date and effective.
  • Conduct skill assessments and audits, providing feedback and additional training as needed.
  • Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Partner with department leaders to align training initiatives with firm goals.
  • Maintain training calendars and materials using the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Act as a subject matter expert on training techniques, tools, and documentation.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Audit case files to identify training opportunities and address skill gaps.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
  • Cultural Champion:
  • Foster a positive, supportive culture that celebrates learning and innovation.
  • Represent the firm at events and embrace opportunities to strengthen team cohesion.
