We are seeking an experienced Property Paralegal to join our team and play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client service for a Partner’s busy practice. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience independently managing residential purchase, sale and refinance files.
  • Graduate of a Legal Assistant or Paralegal program preferred but not required if there’s sufficient practical experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organization skills, and the ability to communicate professionally and confidently with clients, lenders, realtors, and other legal professionals.
  • A team player with a positive approach, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
  • Adept at using technology such as Outlook and Microsoft Office, with a talent for learning new software quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Property files such as sales, purchases, and refinances through their full life cycle.
  • Client intake, conduct conflict searches, and open new files.
  • Schedule meetings and manage Lawyer’s calendar.
  • Preparing and reviewing closing documentation.
  • Coordinating with lenders, realtors and clients.
  • Reviewing title searches and property information.
  • Preparing statements of adjustments.
  • Maintain electronic and paper files, handle mail, and coordinate document processing.
  • Conduct property searches, manage tax certificates and payments, and organize mortgage payouts.
  • Coordinating receipt and disbursement of trust funds.
  • Process wire transfers and manage financial requests.
  • Assist other Property team members as needed.
