About The Position

MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) has an immediate opening for a Paralegal Deposition Coordinator in our New York, New Jersey, or Edwardsville, IL office. MG+M is a nationally renowned litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters. The firm's expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, local government, general liability, and commercial litigation. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a deposition coordination, litigation support, legal assistant, paralegal, or related legal operations role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, NYCSEF, eCourts, NYCAL, eTrack, and/or File & Serve Xpress.
  • Attendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work and meetings on time; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Customer service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
  • Dependability: Follow instructions, complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all deposition related tasks for New York and New Jersey matters.
  • Prepare and distribute deposition notices, subpoenas, and related correspondence.
  • Maintain deposition calendars, deadlines, and case management records.
  • Track and organize deposition transcripts, exhibits, and related documentation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among attorneys, clients, vendors, and opposing counsel regarding deposition scheduling and logistics.
  • Provide reporting and administrative support for deposition-related activities
  • Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
