About The Position

The Environmental Charter School has an immediate need for a highly dedicated and motivated Paraeducator. Successful candidates must be progressive-minded and embody a can-do spirit and work ethic. For best consideration, candidates should have a degree or experience in education, a strong work ethic, and a “whatever it takes” attitude. The ECS Paraeducator works collaboratively with classroom teachers, special educators, building specialists, and the Building Leadership Team by supporting teachers in the preparation of classroom materials and resources; assisting grade-level teams in non-instructional activities, as needed; providing support for recess and lunch duties; assists in additional duty coverage and support as determined by the supervisor. Candidates should be energetic and progressive-minded, with a willingness to work collaboratively with building staff.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of post-high school education is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Clearances current within one year of the hire date will be required and include Arrest/Conviction disclosure, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 114), FBI Criminal Background Check.
• Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168) and Mandated Reporter Training also will be required.
