About The Position

Howden’s core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and has over a century of experience in doing so. We are hiring a Control Panel Technician for our Windsor, CT location. This is an onsite position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read engineering documentation (drawings, test specification).
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be familiar with the operation and connection of low to medium three phase motors.
Nice To Haves
- Electrical background or certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of machining and assembly operations on various standard and custom control panels.
- Conduct wiring from diagrams, schematics, and complex blueprints.
- Perform drilling, tapping, hole punching and cutouts in enclosures and panels.
- Assemble end wire electrical control panels Including operators, pilot lights, pushbuttons, selector itches, relays, timers, contactors, starters, alternators, controllers, recorders, transmitters, PLC's and similar equipment.
- Test functional operation of the complete unit and perform troubleshooting procedures.
- Read and follow blueprint
- Follow all safety guidelines.
