About The Position

CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector. CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement. We are looking to hire a Control Panel Specialist based out of our Calgary NE Branch. Reporting to the Supervisor, Fabrication, the Control Panel Specialist is responsible for executing and planning panels, completing assigned projects on day-to-day jobs to ensure all the required components have been completed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent. Typically up to 2 years of related experience.
• Experience in control panel building, electrical assembly, or industrial wiring
• Ability to read and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with common control panel components and hardware
• Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to provided schematics and wiring diagrams
• Mount and secure components such as breakers, contactors, relays, terminals, VFDs, and PLCs
• Perform neat and accurate point-to-point wiring and cable management
• Label wires, terminals, and components per drawing specifications
• Conduct basic continuity and functional testing prior to shipment
• Identify and report any discrepancies between drawings and components
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
