About The Position

The Panel Assembler is responsible for assembling panel displays by applying adhesive-backed labels to cut metal panels, ensuring quality assembly. This role involves inspecting components and completed panels for proper label placement, fit, and overall quality. The assembler will implement procedures to maintain the excellent condition of the panel assembly after label application and report any defective materials or issues to the supervisor. Key duties include planning work in an assembly sequence, maintaining efficient assembly and packaging speeds, and proficiently using hand tools safely. The role also requires packaging completed panels according to procedures to ensure they reach customers in excellent condition, assisting with material movement in the warehouse, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workstation. Completing necessary shipping paperwork and coordinating workflow to meet scheduled shipment dates are also essential. The assembler will accurately assemble standard panels from sales orders, gain proficiency in part numbers and assemblies, and support company continual improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience using hand tools, automation equipment, power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Previous experience in light manufacturing/assembly is preferred.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Follow drawings and work instructions to build products accurately.
  • Regular attendance and the ability to get along in a team environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and return tools at the end of each shift.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to producing high quality, high volume of work.
  • Ability to stand for four hours and/or seated assembly for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work independently and follow production schedules.

  • Ability to understand and interpret various order forms, spreadsheets and keywords.

Responsibilities
