About The Position

Reporting to the Injection Manager, the Panel Assembler B is responsible for assembling molds prior to the panel injection process, in accordance with plans and established procedures.

  • Comfortable using a measuring tape and working with imperial measurements

Responsibilities

  • Bring molds to the workstation
  • Clean or replace ventilation plugs
  • Apply release agent to the molds, install the steel sheets, and set the molds in place
  • Install spacers ("shims") between the mold and the table before injection
  • Secure the panel using jacks and clamping screws
  • Perform any additional tasks required by the contract specifications
  • Handle steel sheets using lifting tools or with help from coworkers to complete current and upcoming contracts
  • Inspect and validate the integrity and quality of the product (double-check)
  • Restock the workstation with required assembly materials (hooks, blocks, PVC, etc.)
  • Immediately notify the supervisor of any anomalies (defective parts, broken equipment)
  • Demold panels when required (detach molds, clean them if necessary, and return them to their designated areas)
