About The Position

Join Citizant as a Senior Software Developer advancing the capabilities of the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory’s Automated Management System (PAMS). The role provides technical leadership for developing and modernizing software solutions that support Air Force personnel, maintenance, and operational functions. The developer helps deliver secure, scalable, maintainable systems that meet high standards for quality and performance. The position leads software design and development, guides development teams, evaluates architectural alternatives, and supports enterprise integrations. It also contributes to application modernization, cybersecurity compliance, issue resolution, and Agile planning. Solutions use Java, SQL, Oracle, and related technologies. This is a near-term opportunity. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of software development experience.
3+ years of experience providing technical leadership, software architecture, or lead developer support in a software development environment.
Experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions.
Experience conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and establishing software development best practices.
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using Java.
Experience developing applications using SQL and Oracle database technologies.
Experience designing, developing, and supporting database-driven applications and system integrations.
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
Experience with source code management, version control, and CI/CD tools.
Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Experience supporting PAMS.
Experience supporting Air Force personnel, maintenance, logistics, readiness, or operational support systems.
Experience designing and optimizing Oracle database solutions.
Experience modernizing enterprise applications and improving system performance and maintainability.
Experience supporting DoD or Air Force programs.
Experience integrating enterprise applications with external systems and databases.
Experience leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, intelligent automation, or advanced analytics to improve software development, data analysis, operational efficiency, or decision support.
SAFe Agile experience or certification.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of software capabilities supporting PAMS.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
Evaluate solution alternatives and architectural impacts.
Perform code reviews and establish development standards.
Mentor developers and promote knowledge sharing.
Design and support enterprise integrations and interfaces.
Lead analysis and resolution of complex application, integration, and operational issues.
Support application modernization, system enhancement, and technical debt reduction initiatives.
Participate in backlog refinement, estimation, and release planning activities.
Collaborate with Government stakeholders, program leadership, and technical teams.
Support cybersecurity compliance and vulnerability remediation efforts.
Design, develop, maintain, and enhance solutions using Java, SQL, Oracle, and related technologies.
