Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in sensitive situations.
Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered, truly listening to understand patient and family needs.
Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions and provide personalized care.
Resilient and emotionally stable, with strong self-care practices.
A minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in hospice, palliative care, or a related field like ICU, geriatrics, or oncology.

Responsibilities

Managing pain, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, and other symptoms associated with serious illnesses.
Developing and implementing care plans and medication management to alleviate discomfort.
Coordinating care among various healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive necessary support and treatment.
Educating patients and families about their illness, treatment options, and what to expect as the illness progresses.
