About The Position

Experienced Palliative Care NP/PA - 100% Outpatient needed in Pinehurst, NC. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to carry out our mission, “To care for people.” Located in the beautiful Village of Pinehurst, our organization is considered one of the premier healthcare systems in the Southeast. FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a private, not-for-profit, community-based health care network serving the mid-Carolinas. Join a close-knit team that is making a difference! The Outpatient Palliative Care APP will treat patients in their homes or facilities within the Moore County area. The care team includes seven Palliative Care APPs and two dedicated social workers. This is a weekday position with protected administrative time.

Requirements

NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
PA must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
2 years of advanced practice experience required.
NPs function autonomously across all units.
Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
Exceptional communication skills; must be able to effectively navigate sensitive patient/family discussions.
Clean background, NC license, and NC DEA required.
AHA ACLS certification required.
