The Palliative Care Manager is a registered nurse leadership role responsible for the management, oversight, and coordination of clinical care and services for adult palliative care patients and their families. This role ensures delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered nursing care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, in accordance with organizational policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Current license as a registered professional nurse in the State of California
• Minimum of two years of registered nursing experience in palliative care and/or hospice within the past five years

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred within the past five years

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management oversight of the Adult Palliative Care Program under the direction of the VP of Palliative Care
• Collaborate with the VP of Palliative Care to strategically grow the adult palliative care program throughout the San Francisco Bay Area
• Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, protocols, and workflows aligned with program growth
• Partner with contracted vendors, hospitals, and facilities to establish strong referral relationships and ensure high-quality patient care
• Receive and coordinate new patient referrals and assign patients to appropriate clinical staff to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care
• Monitor clinical quality, outcomes, and regulatory compliance within the palliative care program
• Supervise non-exempt clinical staff
• Provide clinical supervision to nursing team members
• Provide administrative supervision to interdisciplinary team members as applicable
• Participate in the Administrative On-Call rotation
