About The Position

This is an entry-level, full-time position on the 3rd shift (11pm-7am, Monday-Friday) with a $0.30 cent shift differential. The role requires operating equipment safely and efficiently, monitoring machine operations, identifying and correcting product defects, performing routine adjustments, setting up and operating machinery to meet specifications, and ensuring all orders are completed accurately. The position also involves making basic machine repairs, running the Unitizer, meeting production goals, maintaining housekeeping standards, and complying with safety and quality policies. The operator will also support training for other staff, conduct operations safely, maintain a clean work area, and keep accurate records. Responsibilities include reading load tag information, understanding the Unitizer process, performing operator PM responsibilities from checklists, and ensuring quality checks are done correctly. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Consent to a background check and pre-employment physical / drug screen
  • Flexible to work overtime as needed
  • Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new things, receive and follow instructions

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years manufacturing experience highly preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods.
  • Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and correct product defects caused by the machine.
  • Perform routine adjustments during the machine run and maintain production throughout the run.
  • Set up and operate machine meeting established published specifications.
  • Ensure all orders are completed to specifications including “special instructions” if applicable.
  • Identify and make basic repairs to the machine.
  • Set up and run the Unitizer.
  • Run the machine meeting production goals.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards all the time.
  • Comply with all IPs Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times.
  • Support Training of other assistant operators and others as needed.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports (complete forms, logs, and records accurately – as required).
  • Read and understand load tag information.
  • Be knowledgeable of the complete Unitizer process to produce a top quality product.
  • Ability to work from checklists for operator PM responsibilities.
  • Ensure all quality checks are performed correctly and accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisors/shift leader.
