About The Position

The position of Pallet Runner will require the employee to work in all environments operating a powered pallet jack. The main focus is relocating pallets from the dock to the warehouse aisles. Please note this is a contract role ending Sept 4th, 2026 with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in three temperature zones (grocery zone - 15°C, cooler zone - 3 to 8°C, freezer zone - minus 20°C).
  • Must be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry boxes (up to 80 lbs rare, up to 50lbs, occasional, up to 25lbs occasional, less than 25lbs frequent).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Work well under time pressures.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment requiring constant walking, ascending/descending stairs or pallet jack platform, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions).
  • Must be self motivated and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Uses a radio frequency scanner to scan products for pallet identification.
  • Using a pallet jack, relocates pallets into the proper aisles from receiving docks.
  • Loading and unloading of product when required.
  • Operate power equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Removes empty pallets from the selection slots and places them in the designated pallet storage area.
  • Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
