About The Position

CHEP is seeking a Pallet Repair Operator for its Wilmington, Massachusetts team. The role involves repairing or assembling pallets using a pneumatic nail gun. In the repair department, the operator places pallets on a repair table, removes defective boards, replaces them, and nails the new boards into place. In the assembly department, the operator joins stock boards according to the desired pallet type. The operator also troubleshoots jams and performs basic saw maintenance. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position requiring care when operating nail guns and consistent adherence to company safety procedures. The work involves standing for extended periods and repeatedly lifting pallets weighing 50–75 pounds. The position is scheduled for the second shift, Monday through Friday, with overtime.

Responsibilities

Repair or assemble pallets using a pneumatic nail gun.
For pallet repairs, place pallets on a repair table, remove defective boards, replace them, and nail the replacement boards into place.
For pallet assembly, nail stock boards together according to the type of pallet desired.
Troubleshoot jams and perform basic maintenance on the saw.
Follow company safety procedures when operating nail guns and other equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
